RUYI ILLUSTRATION & DESIGN

Welcome!

I love creating worlds and stories.Hi! I am Ruyi, a Malaysia based artist and designer. In the past year, I made a conscious decision to take illustration seriously and pursue it as a career. The childhood wonder of creating fantasy worlds, a way I once used to make sense of the world around me, never really left. In 2026, I’m choosing to honour that call.As G.K. Chesterton once wrote, “Fairy tales are more than true: not because they tell us that dragons exist, but because they tell us that dragons can be beaten.”
